The impact technology has on our lives today is unmeasurable. We use technology nowadays for just about everything we do. Technology plays a major role in society as well nowadays. Everybody, including the adults have use technology to get to point to point B. Technology in this generation is more advanced than it has been before. It has been proven that the world we live in today is nowhere near what our forefathers endured. Modern technology is the forefront for advanced research and the sciences that helps us utilize the essential skills for everyday life. Most teachers in schools really don’t understand or has caught up with the advanced technology in the schools. Some teachers still believe or use some of the old ways to teach but†¦show more content†¦Once we have the staff on board, then it would be wise to introduce the technologies to the learners. Because we all know that funding is more than limited we can at least have those technologies in each classroom so that each student can at least have some type of familiarity with the information. Lastly, we would hopefully move to having some type of lab where each student could have individual access to technology. Along with these sequences, we would offer other materials such as textbooks, websites, and presentations for the students. Teachers uses technology to educate their students in many various ways. Three ways I personally know about are google classroom, Think through Math and My Perspectives. These are all teacher empowering technologies used on mobile apps that grade written student work and provide lessons plans. Teachers can easily incorporate technology directly into their practice and insulate their students from different effects in the classroom setting. Engaging in education reform that has a full impact on students are great opportunities for teachers to figure out how to implement the curriculum and instruct students with different learning levels. Using educational technologies that are inexpensive, easy to use and improve each and every student learning. His stories and poems are known for their gothic style and having the common theme of death. This is certainly seen in his short story â€Å"The Cask of Amontillado.† It is speculated by many that Poe suffered from the mental illness known as bipolar disorder. Comparing the two plays Essay I am comparing the two plays The Crucible and In The City (3rd part of Barbarians). Arthur Miller wrote the Crucible in 1953, at the time of McCarthyism. In the City was written by Barrie Keefe in 1977. The Crucible was set before it was written; however In The City was set around the time it was written.  The Crucible is set in 1692, Salem, Massachusetts. There is a general theme of suspicion, as the Salem witch trials were what was happening at the time, and show how the suspicion and superstition led to constant accusations and harsh punishments. This idea stemmed from the original stimulus of the McCarthy communist persecutions, as does the idea of naming names to get off the hook. It was written as an allegory; Miller would not have gotten away with writing a play openly on the political affairs of the time, due to censorship laws. He himself had been in front of the House of Un-American Activities Committee (H.U.A.C.), an organisation who demanded that anyone who had attended a communist meeting had to name anyone who they had seen there. This is shown when Betty and Abigail are saying I saw with the Devil. Another likeness is the strict Puritan morals of 1692, and strict American morals in 1953. The Aliens Act was an issue at the time, an anti-immigrant law made by President Truman. In The City was both written and set in 1977. The historical event that the play involved was the war in Ireland, showing how truly horrific it was, Jan being used to get this point across. In 1977 racism was a big issue, and this is what the play is based around. It also shows distinction between different levels of classes, as although Louis is working-class, Paul and Jan see him as above them because he got all the breaks. The morality of Paul is shown, as he is a violent, racist man. He is quite happy to hospitalise Louis just for laughing at him, showing partially the morals at the time of a select few. It is designed to shock the audience. While The Crucible is about respectability, keeping a good name etc., In The City is more about the boundaries between classes and races. These boundaries are supposedly broken at the carnival, shown in Louiss speech, but Paul doesnt appear to care about this. The Crucible was written more about how unjust the government was, however in complete contrast In The City is showing injustice from the other end of the spectrum, the working class. The plot in The Crucible centres around accusations of witchcraft. It begins with the idea of the girls dancing naked in the woods, shown when Parris is discussing them. The next key point is when Betty is possessed so Reverend Hale is called to exorcise the Devil. It is then revealed that Abigail was dismissed from John Proctors service by his wife, as she was having an affair with John. Abigail and Betty then both begin to name names. In the next act, it transpires that there are 17 people condemned to hang for witchcraft, and that the Proctors are having a tough relationship due to Johns affair. Hale arrives to question them both, and towards the end Elizabeth Proctor is arrested. In the next act, the trial takes place. The girls pretend that Mary Warren is bewitching them, and the Judges seem to be won over by it. John, trying to defend Mary at first, ends up being accused due to Mary Warren naming him. He goes wild at the trial and ends up claiming to be a witch. Rebecca Nurse is condemned to hang, and John Proctor will be set free. After refusing to sign his confession, a lie, he is hanged. John Proctor is a strong character, a peasant farmer, and loyal to an extent. With the way Rap music is advertised in the US, I would have to agree with that looking at it from an average parent?fs point of view. But what people don?ft know is that Hip Hop isn?ft just a type of music, it?fs a culture. It?fs a culture full of original elements, and it?fs also a place where people can show others what they?fve got and who they are. Within this original society called Hip Hop, there are basically four main elements of MC, Break, Tag, and DJ. And each is represented by millions of people all over the globe. When the four come together, it makes Hip Hop music, and people live the music instead of listening to it. MC-ing is what people know as rapping. The main point of an MC is to make your crowd enjoy your music, and to send a message out to them. Unlike most of the lyrics out on the market today, Hip Hop contains meaning and it sends a message to the listeners. Although those messages might have bad words,and show images of things that are socially wrong, that?fs actually what?fs going on where they are from, and that?fs who they are. Breaking is a term used for dancing, and most people know it as Break Dancing. People spin on their heads, do handstands, slide with just their hands on the ground, spin on the floor with their legs spread out, and all kinds of astonishing moves. This is probably the most popular form of Hip Hop in Japan today because its so easy to begin and watch. DJs have one simple task: make people dance. Or that?fs what it used to be. Before, their main goal was to have the knowledge of the music so they can make people dance according to the mood and time. Also scratching records were their performance.
